Hello I'm journalist and broadcaster Madeleine Spencer and I'm gonna show you some tips on concealer placement for a lifted look.

This is really handy not only because it takes away the guess work but also because it means I can apply concealer really strategically where I want to and make it work harder for me.
The other thing I love about it is it gives you a really natural finish because of course you don't have to put it absolutely everywhere.
You can just put it where you need to put it and blend it into your natural skin and no one will be able to tell the difference.
A lot of the common mistakes with concealer that drag the skin down and just make it look really tired is placing it too low in the face or the wrong colour.
This won't be a problem here.
If it's the wrong colour it's too low in your face it can be quite obvious.
So I'm going to show you where you can put concealer to lift and also how to use it if you do have a blemish in this region and you don't want to emphasise this area.
I'm just going to show you this concealer quickly because I want you to pay attention to this doe foot which is a beautiful and easy shape to apply it to flat areas on your face or you can just use the end to just dot it on.
So you've got a few options here, just from the way you can apply it using this doe foot applicator.
I'm also going to be using the DCYPHER concealer brush just to buff it in.
So the first thing I want to do is just this area here around my nose and I'm being careful not to apply too much here.
In lifting this area I don't want to draw attention to it, I just want it to be a little bit of concealer that just makes it look a bit smoother and lifted.
To lift the face you really want to focus on this area, so I'm going to put a little bit here.
I'm going to take a little bit up here and then I'm going to blend them both.
This one almost acting as a kind of lift in the outer corner of the eye, and then I'm keeping the shadow here, so you've got the sense of it moving up, sweeping up.
Now with the under eye, you also want to make sure that you're brightening the inner corner.
So I'm just going to put a little bit on the bottom and on the inner corner just so I don't forget that that area needs a lift too.
You can also choose to have DCYPHER make you a concealer that's ever so slightly lighter than your skin tone.
So if you really want to lift out this area and make it a little bit brighter but in a very subtle way, in a way that looks natural you can choose to have that concealer and use a different one for your skin.
It's completely up to you.
As I said if you have any blemishes in this area, so I've got a little one here just pinpoint the end and then cover it instead of going in with a big sweep in that area.
Because you really want to not draw attention to this bit here, you want everything to be focused on your eyes and on this area at the top of your face that you're lifting.
I find I get a little bit of drag in the lower corner of my lips here, so I'm just going to add a little bit of concealer to the outer corner here.
To kick back this area a little bit and again it's the same technique of just blending in the concealer and making the area look a bit less shadowed.
So those are my concealer placement tips for a really lifted look.
So the key is you want to lift the eyes in this corner, make sure you're aiming for that swoop.
Anything that's down here that you want to knock back, just blend it out with concealer.
And if you have any spots that are maybe in a region that you don't want to highlight and drag down, just conceal the head of the spot with the tip of the doe foot.
